Belly to Baby Online Course
Your pelvis accesses three different positions during labor.
Almost nobody prepares for more than one.
I'm Dr. Shayli Hill, a pelvic floor physical therapist and mom to three boys. I learned this the hard way, at 10 centimeters and four hours into pushing.
My first birth stalled at 10 centimeters. I pushed for four hours from that point until he arrived.
Afterward I did what a physical therapist does — I went looking for why, and what I found changed how I care for women.
Your pelvis isn't one fixed opening. It's three, and your baby has to pass through all of them: the inlet, the mid-pelvis, and the outlet. Each one opens in a different direction. Which means a position that helps your baby into the pelvis can be the very thing keeping baby from getting out of it. I stalled where I did because I was doing one genuinely helpful thing — for the wrong stage.
Nobody had told me that. Not in my prenatal classes. Honestly, not in PT school either.
So I prepared differently for my second.
I was sitting on a birthing ball at the hospital, waiting for the right moment to call for the epidural. I told the nurse I thought I was ready. She asked to check me first. Her words were, "Honey, we don't have time for an epidural — that baby is on his way out." The OB rushed in and gowned up, but there was no time for gloves. With her hands still inside her gown sleeves, she went down to catch him. One more push did it — she had just enough time to glove up, and baby number two arrived.
Number three beat the OB to the delivery room by three minutes! (My midwife was with me the whole time and caught him safely.)
Here's what I want you to take from all of that: I didn't get better at pushing. I got better at getting out of the way.
Most of us are taught to prepare for birth by doing more — trying harder, gripping, bracing. But your body already knows how to do this. God designed it to. The work isn't adding effort. It's learning where to release, and when.
That's what I built Belly to Baby to teach: a Christ-centered way to prepare for birth and early postpartum. How God designed birth to work. How to support your body through each stage of labor. How to heal well on the other side.
However your baby arrives — unmedicated, with an epidural, or by C-section — your pelvis needs to move freely and your body needs to recover well. Belly to Baby prepares you for all of it.
So you can walk into this season confident, informed, and with your eyes fixed on Jesus.

FAQs
What if I’m 36-weeks? Am I too far along to start?
I honestly wish someone had given me this information at 36 weeks! Just having the information, alone, would have helped me tremendously in my first birth.
No one is too late, and all exercises included are safe to do throughout every stage of pregnancy and postpartum.
What if I’m planning on a C-Section?
That’s great! And yes, this course is for you too. Inside, you’ll find explanations of common pregnancy symptoms and exercises that should help alleviate many of the things that we’re often told are “just part of pregnancy”! We also have a complete C-Section recovery exercise plan that includes scar desensitization techniques!
Do I need exercise equipment?
Not at all. Many of the exercises included are done lying on the floor, kneeling, or standing. Some have modifications for partners to help out, and I do recommend a few release tools along the way, but they’re relatively inexpensive, and I link to them as needed.
How long do I get access?
Belly to Baby Online includes LIFETIME access— meaning you can use it for your first birth or your twelfth :)
